This was an exciting scheme involving the conversion of two redundant farm buildings and converting them to form residential accommodation, demolition of the original farm house which was of no architectural merit and replacing this with a thatched dwelling and a thatched garage outbuilding with additional accommodation in the roof space. The scheme design needed a sensitive approach as the site stood in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Beauty.
